DeviantArt has changed submissions (IMPORTANT)

As of Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, it appears that DeviantArt has removed unlimited submissions to groups.


Quoting my tweets on the subject:

Apparently in the middle of adding people's art to my group, deviantart made a sudden change to only allow 10 submissions per day??? O_O
This is not good, now if I really want to put someone's art in the group, I may have to let it clog up my inbox for a few days.
See? These are the only options I have now. deviantart won't let me change it back to unlimited. There IS none.

People may not like it that they will have to submit their own art to the group now, if they want it in the group at all, but the other admins and I CANNOT be expected to play favorites to 10 people out of 111 members AND MORE every day. It's just not possible, and it's not right.

I hope that people will either accept the change and remember to submit their own art - because that is what DeviantArt is forcing here, I can't change it, it won't let me - or they demand it changed back by the site staff.

It IS possible that unlimited submissions is now restricted to being a privilege of super groups (which this group is not, people have to pay money to buy points to make it so), I don't know the finite details.

Regardless, if you are a member, you will have to remember to submit your own art to the group now. The admins cannot be expected to chase down your "best" pieces and curate them for you. If you don't want to put certain pieces in the group because you aren't pleased with them, fine, but I know there are a few of you who like to self-bash and use the admins adding your art to the group - when you're already a member - as validation for your art.

Stop it. Even if DeviantArt changes things again. This cannot continue.

Others of you, I know, are just BLOODY FORKING TERRIBLE about remembering to put your art in the group gallery! And that's alright, you have busy lives, much to do and think about, but I will ask you to please please PLEASE try to remember the group when you upload your art. Your work is wanted here! SO MUCH!
